Where Are They Now?
Occasionally
we receive emails or letters from past scholarship
recipients bringing us up to date on where they are and what
they are doing. We always enjoy these and will start posting
them on the web site for others to enjoy too. It’s wonderful
to see long-term results of the values instilled by the game
of soccer!
If you are a
past recipient, we would love to hear from you.

Graff
Holy Cross High School
1995 Scholarship Recipient
Hi Gary and
Barbara!
I just saw
your website for the Foundation, and it's beautiful, and I
just wanted to drop you a line and thank you, 10 years
later, for honoring me in your son's name. I also just
thought you'd want to know where some of your scholarship
recipients end up, just out of curiosity. After I graduated
from the University of Louisville, I went to live in Latin
America for 3 years, working on human rights
issues in Guatemala and Colombia. It was very meaningful,
life-changing work. When I returned to the United States, I
went to law school at American University in Washington DC,
and I just graduated in May and took a job as Staff Attorney
at the American Civil Liberties Union.
I don't get
home to Kentucky often enough, but I saw on the website that
you just had this year's tournament. I hope it was
successful and that you all had a great time. If the
weather was anything like it is here right now, it was
absolutely beautiful soccer weather!
I hope you're
doing well. I just wanted to let you know where I ended up,
and that all these years later, I still appreciate your
generosity, and your important work.
Much love,
Julia Graff
